WarneliusMiller Us

One must respect the generation before to understand where you stand today. The decision of our parents to put a stake in the ground and begin what would be a journey of grand proportions into winegrowing and crafting wines with a story is our legacy today.

In 1974 my family emigrated from Björsäter, Sweden to Sonoma County, purchased land and released our first wine in 1982. Justin and I resurrected the Viking ship from the original Warnelius label for today’s WärneliusMiller wines. The original artwork by my brother Carl-Olov Wärnelius.

Our land, our relationship and our life’s meaning are a marriage of old-world tradition and new world discovery. If one does not have this comprehension, a fine wine will never be achieved.

Justin's dad, a 6th generation Californian, bought our ranch in 1963 with dreams to grow world-class winegrapes. Today we farm and craft wine from the original vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon 55-years later at Garden Creek Ranch in Alexander Valley, Sonoma County.

Our strength is our family. Family friends since childhood, in 1998 Justin and I reconnected, married, and began winemaking together. A first vintage released from our home ranch at Garden Creek. A commitment to organic and regenerative farming and the health of our land was pivotal.

Today as in the past, we live as true Vignerons. We believe in farming our own land and crafting our own wines with our own hands.

Karin and Justin Warnelius-Miller. We believe in each other and family legacy. Husband and wife, partners for life. With the strength of family, anything is possible.

In 2005 we purchased 160 acres in the Anderson Valley in Mendocino to wine grow in a new frontier. Our intention with WärneliusMiller wines is to seek individuality and typicity to showcase the land balanced with the varietals signature.

The WärneliusMiller Family is focused on the soils without compromise to the lands existence. Seeking the very meaning of the soul of our vineyards. Growing wines with precision, alluring tension and grand complexity, together.
